“Waters of the United States”
It sounds so nice and peaceful. But it is not.
What it is is another regulation designed to take away more private property rights and individual liberty. It is another example of government overstepping its authority. And stepping on States rights.
Judge blocks Obama’s water rule
What makes it even more over-the-top is that even after a Federal judge ruled in favor of a preliminary injunction based on his view that the EPA was overstepping its authority, the EPA then went forward with their rule anyway for any state that didn’t sue. A clear violation since they can’t pick and choose which States to apply it to given the Judge’s injunction.
But that is exactly what is happening. And that is what has been greatly expanded under President Obama’s leadership. And under the Republican leadership’s watch too. Both are equally responsible for the Federal government steamrolling our rights.
And we pay the price with ridiculous regulations and stifling taxes and a government elite who believes they are no longer accountable to the voter/taxpayer class.
And what happens? Our economy continues to take hits. Like this week with the China crash and the impact on our market. And our drop in the liberty index.
U. S. Ranks 20th in Liberty Index?
It is bad enough that we drop from 17th to 20th in just four years. But beyond that is the fact that a drop in liberty also relates to a drop in a country’s economic engine. For example the difference between the most free quarter of the countries and the second most free quarter is a drop in income per person from $30,006 to $6,393.
So do we want to go into that good night?
Or do we want to push back and recapture our freedom and unshackle our economic engine?
The time is definitely now on this. Whether you like Donald Trump or Dr. Ben Carson or Carly Fiorina, the groundswell of support has been reflective of an enough is enough of this “I know more than you.” beltway elitist attitude that has existed since Ronald Reagan’s terms in the White House.
The American People are tired of promises that go undelivered. Our elected officials corrupted by the system inside Washington. Special interests that tell politicians what to do and what pork laws to pass. They’re tired of the revolving door of politicians becoming lobbyists after they sell out their constituents.
They’re tired of an economy limping along that means they and their friends, family, and neighbors are stuck working in part time jobs to pay the bills, or can’t get jobs because of over-regulation or illegal immigration, or unions not supporting their members and rubber stamping things that ensure they continue to get inflated paychecks and benefits while their members suffer, or government unions that give themselves raises and huge benefits packages without any counterbalance – resulting in huge deficits and bankrupt cities and states.
So this is my challenge to you, regardless of your political affiliation. How will you make your voice heard? How will you choose to make a difference? Now is your opportunity to influence the direction of our country. Go ahead and take on the challenge.
