Are you a telecom business owner or marketing, sales or HR leader who wants to boost your company’s presence (and business growth opportunities) in the telecommunications industry?
- Just starting a business, acquired a business, or are launching a new product, service, or line of business…and need content created or revised to showcase your strengths to prospective clients?
- Do you have website content that is old, stale, or doesn’t portray your company in the best light…you know it can be better?
- Have you created a blog but aren’t able to write articles consistently given other priorities and fire drills?
- Would you like to capture client success stories using your products or services but haven’t gotten around to it…and are not sure you ever will?
- Do you have a marketing campaign you’re looking to kick off to generate market buzz and need content in various forms to create momentum for your sales efforts?
Do you represent a tech or telecom marketing agency that needs a content writer with telecom writing expertise?
- You have a stream of client projects but need additional writers to keep up with the flow of work.
- You may have hired a writer without tech or telecom experience and found they couldn’t understand or convey the intricacies of writing projects for this industry…or that it wasn’t worth working with them because you had to answer too many questions and hold their hand throughout the process.
- Or are you at the point where it makes sense to assign specific types of content projects to different writers based on their strengths?
While there are many writers out there…not all of them do well working for business and tech clients. My goal is to make things easy on you.
- When you give me a project and a deadline…I deliver on or before the due date…without prompting.
- If you provide a thorough content brief…I’m detail-oriented, so I’ll check and cross-check that my content addresses each requirement.
- Have a concept or idea and need me to just figure it out and run with? I can do that too…many times without asking more than a couple questions of clarification.
- I have payment flexibility…pay at the end of the project or month, no problem…need a quote, invoice, W-9, it will be provided quickly…PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, wire, check, whatever best fits your system I’ll work with.

My Telecom Career
I bring a 25+ year telecommunications career project managing cell site projects (new builds, modifications, macro site, small cell and other technology-driven projects) for the major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint) as well as worked with Tower Companies (American Tower, Crown Castle, SBA), OEMs (Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung) and infrastructure program management, site acquisition and construction providers. I’ve been on the front lines of technology upgrades from GSM/CDMA/TDMA to LTE – from 3G to 5G.
Over this period of time I’ve developed a deep understanding of the technologies, the implementation, the players involved, and how products and services are purchased and sold.
Strategic content writing.
In 2015 I recognized many people and companies are held back by ineffective, incongruent, or unpersuasive writing as well as overlooking strategic advantages they could be promoting.
- So I launched an award-winning business, marketing and career blog – https://mikemcritchie.com
- Contributed to articles published on sites like: Harvard Business Review, MSN, Fox Business, Readers Digest, Microsoft, Quickbooks, Recruiter, Spark Hire, Acoustic Guitar Magazine – https://mikemcritchie.com/articles/
- Have been interviewed on multiple podcasts – https://mikemcritchie.com/podcasts/
- Wrote for companies in the telecom niche that have included:
- Website page rewrites (home page, about page, services pages)
- Blog Posts and Case Studies
- Thought-leader Content Pieces
- Proposals and Company Profiles
- Resumes, LinkedIn profiles (both personal and company pages) and Executive Bios for business owners and senior management
- Consulted to several investor groups and telecom business leaders as a strategic advisor

So how can I help you?
Whether you’re looking to boost sales, stay connected with customers, communicate a consistent and compelling message (to your employees, prospects, clients and vendors), or just be more intentional in growing your business…strategic content and communications are critical.
Many company leaders find their core strategic initiatives don’t move forward because team members get distracted or buried in the day-to-day business. That’s where I come in. Think of me as your extra hand when you need it – strategizing and writing key communications.

- White Papers – technically focused, 1-2 page piece that focuses on a technological breakthrough or cutting edge product – target audience is engineers and other technically focused buyers; work with your technical/engineering staff and business development/sales team to craft a compelling technical report that showcases your product’s unique positioning and benefits
- Strategic Initiative Communications – tying internal and external marketing communications to company initiatives
- Branding Alignment – evaluating all key touch-points – from employees to vendors to clients – to ensure communications accurately reflect and communicate the company’s mission and purpose
