Life isn’t always easy. Work piles up, stress kicks in, routines fall apart and before you know it, your mental health is starting to struggle – sadly, it happens to us all. At least in one point of everybody’s lives, their health takes a turn, but what is important is noticing when this is happening and making the necessary changes to bring it back on track.
The good news, it’s never too late to bring it back on track. It’s just the longer you struggle, the harder the change may be – but it’s not impossible. Whether you’ve been off track for a few weeks, months, or even years, the path to feeling better physically and mentally doesn’t have to be overwhelming. The key is to start small, be consistent, and give yourself some grace along the way.
To help get you started, we have put together a brief guide on tips for getting your health back on track.
Pay attention to your sleep
A good place to start is your sleep. Everyone should be getting around 7-9 hours of sleep each day, do you think you are managing to get this? If you don’t try to work on your sleep. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day, limit screen time before bed and create a routine which helps you get to sleep. There are restful sleep products with CBD and THC that could help improve your sleep if you are struggling.
Improve your diet
You don’t need to change your diet drastically, but a few changes may help your overall health. Especially if you have found your diet has started to deteriorate. As part of your daily routine, you should be aiming to eat around 5 pieces of fruit and vegetables a day. These can be put into your meals or on their own, such as eating a piece of fruit. The more you get into the habit of eating five pieces of fruit and veg a day, the greater it will benefit your health.
Ensure you are exercising
Finally, no health reset is complete without regular physical activity. Exercise helps with everything from improving mood and boosting energy levels to supporting weight management and heart health. You should aim to workout at least 2 to 3 times a week and this can be part of a gym routine, a solo workout such as running or taking part in a sport. What’s best is to try and convince a friend to exercise with you, this way you can catch up as well as hold you accountable so you go each week. Your overall wellness with benefit from this.
We hope our guide has given you some useful pointers. What changes do you plan to make to your life to bring your health back on track? Which of the points above did you find most useful?
